Mayor John Salem Signs Official Proclamation declaring May 16th to be Kingman Area Books are Magic Festival Day!



















Kingman Mayor John Salem (front, left) signed a proclamation Tuesday at Manzanita Elementary declaring May 16 KABAM (Kingman Area Books Are Magic) Festival Day. The proclamation recognized literacy as the foundation of the economic, educational and cultural well being of a community. Councilwoman Robin Gordon (front, right) and Kingman Unified School District Superintendent Roger Jacks were present for the event, as was Mrs. Victory's kindergarten class.

Due to the overwhelming response, a second Earlene Fowler book discussion is being added to the KABAM! Agenda for 2009.

Friday, May 15th, at the Mohave Museum of History and Art will feature Earlene's novel, Mariner's Compass (A Benni Harper Mystery)


Thursday, May 14th will feature The Saddlemaker's Wife, to be held at Mohave County Library, 3269 North Burbank.
